Every Vanguard object begins with an idea. This jacket begins with a material.
It begins with wool—a natural fiber grown by sheep and renewed each year. After shearing, the fleece is cleaned, spun into yarn, woven into cloth, and finished by Fujii Seiju in Japan's historic Bishū textile region, where generations of textile specialists have refined wool through washing, fulling, dyeing, and finishing.
The finished cloth then travels to Los Angeles, where it is patterned, cut, sewn, pressed, and individually assembled into Vanguard Command Object 01.
Constructed from Japanese wool and lined in gold satin, this jacket reflects a commitment to thoughtful material selection, disciplined construction, and enduring craftsmanship. Every stage represents the work of skilled craftspeople separated by thousands of miles, united by a shared respect for making something well.
